Meet me at the Regal Beagle.

A movie based on the classic sitcom "Three's Company" is reportedly in the works, according to the Hollywood Reporter[1].

New Line Cinema has tapped producer Robert Cort and the writers "He's Just Not That Into You," to work on the film.

Cort has previously been tied to projects like "Cocktail" and "Runaway Bride."

"Three's Company" aired on ABC from 1977 to 1984 and followed the lives of roommates, Joyce DeWitt and Suzanne Somers, who took in a third roommate played by John Ritter.

Sommers was later replaced by actresses Jenilee Harrison and then Priscilla Barnes.

Ritter's role was to pretend he was gay in order for landlords — Norman Fell and Audra Lindley — to approve of the arrangement.

The feature film would be set in the 1970s — just like the famed series.

The Hollywood Reporter[2] did not share if any original cast members would return, but only that the studio is in negotiations to pick up the rights.

"Three's Company" won an Emmy and two Golden Globes during its eight-season run.

Maybe soon enough, people could be knocking on the gang's door once again.
