Bollywood movie screenings are an extremely visual affair. From casual to dressy ensembles, stars have worn it all. Flocking to a movie screening and wearing a casual outfit is a thing of the past. Nowadays, actors wear all sorts of enchanting ensembles that bewilder our thinking. Based on our research, we have listed five types of outfits you will spot at movie screenings (trust us, next time you go, observe the people around you).
1. Casual Look
These people come to a movie screening thinking it's Friday (woohoo we can finally dress casually). Well, at least they aren't hideously dressed but they still don a variety of casual accessories such as loose trousers, jeans (a hit amongst men) and not-so-good-looking hats. Their mantra is to sit, eat popcorn and have a jolly time. We won't blame them though, after all it's a movie!
2. The Dressy One
These set of people come all decked up as if it's a Monday morning and your boss has an eye on you. Unlike the casual ones, these people don a variety of dressy outfits (mostly breezy ones like maxis) and carry the latest 'IT' bags. We love them because they are always on point when it comes to dressing up! Look up to them for styling tips, guys!
3. The Semi-Dressy One
This is coolest lot out of all the other people. They mix and match casual and dressy adornments such as gladiator sandals with a short dress or a chic blazer with a pair of flared jeans. They have the best of both worlds. We love them because they can enjoy a casual night out but still look presentable!
4. The Traditional One
There are loyal Indian people who dress like it's independence day. Yes, they wear Indian attires to movie screenings (well, some have to depending on the genre of the film). Mostly dressed in kurtas or even a sari (yes, Rekha we are looking at you), these people look out of place though they aren't as badly dressed as the last set of people; the 'I-don't-know-what-to-wear' lot.
4. The I-Don't-Know-What-To-Wear Outfit
Lastly, the set of people who are confused whether it's Friday or Monday and dress in various trends. Yes, they wear hats, hideous pumps and don't put any effort in applying makeup (even though they know the paparazzi is going to be there). They rarely care about being the talk of the 'fashion town' and just come for a good night out. Well, we think they just got out of bed and remembered to attend a movie screening. At least that's what their outlook says. We feel sad for them. C'mon, hire a stylist or at least buy a mirror!
