"Maze Runner" star Dylan O'Brien was seriously injured on the set of the series' latest installment when he was run over by a car, TMZ reports[1].
O'Brien suffered several broken bones, and production of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" will be on hold until he recovers.
A rep for 20th Century Fox confirmed O'Brien's injury.
"Dylan O'Brien was injured yesterday while filming 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure' in Vancouver, Canada," the rep wrote in a statement. "He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery."
FOX411's calls and emails to O'Brien's rep were not immediately returned.
O'Brien, 24, plays Thomas in the "Maze Runner" franchise based on the popular young adult book series, whose first two installments have grossed almost $700 million.
