"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is Fandango's top pre-selling superhero film ever, beating previous record holders, "The Dark Knight Rises" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
According to Fandango, "Batman v Superman" represented more than 90 percent of the company's ticket sales for the weekend.
"Batman v Superman" stars Ben Affleck[1] and Henry Cavill[2] in the roles of Batman and Superman, respectively, and sees Batman leading a crusade against Superman, driven by the belief that the Kryptonian is too powerful to be trusted.

Directed by Zack Snyder[4], the movie's cast also includes Jesse Eisenberg[5] as Lex Luthor, Amy Adams[6] as Superman's girlfriend Lois Lane, Diane Lane[7] as Superman's Earth mom Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne[8] as Daily Planet editor Perry White, and Holly Hunter[9] as a crusading anti-Superman U.S. senator.
"The Dark Knight Rises" went on to gross $448 million domestically, while "Avengers: Age of Ultron" earned $459 million since its May 2015 debut.
