David Hasselhoff[2] made his first appearance on set of the upcoming Baywatch[3] movie on Tuesday, bringing back nostalgia of his time on the show from 1989 to 2000.
Arriving on set wearing an all-white linen look with flip-flops, Hasselhoff later changed into a Hawaiian shir t with khaki shorts.
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson[4], who will play Hasselhoff's character in the upcoming film, confirmed[5] the original Mitch Buchannon will be making an appearance in the movie, which also stars Zac Efron[6] and Priyanka Chopra[7].
Johnson shared the news in an Instagram post of him FaceTiming with Hasselhoff on March 3.
"'I WAS BORN READY!' Pleasure to officially welcome the original #BAYWATCH gangsta himself David Hasselhoff to our movie!," Johnson, 43, captioned the video. "#BAYWATCH is the most successful TV show of all time and from the day we announced we were turning it into a movie, 'The Hoff' has been our greatest supporter. Especially once he knew our RATED R movie was going to be a combination of AVENGERS and ANCHORMAN."
Efron has also been documenting his beachy time on set.
The film is in theaters May 2017.
