The Lego Batman Movie’: Warner Bros. Reveals First Look Into Batman’s Brick World [Photos]

Warner Bros. has just released images from The Lego Batman Movie, which gives us a glimpse of what to expect. After the success of The Lego Movie in 2014, Batman, who also appeared in the film, now has the spotlight on him.

Will Arnett, who voiced Batman in The Lego Movie[1], will be reprising his role. In an interview with USA Today, Arnett talked about Batman's abode and how it would look like, particularly the kitchen.

"Think about it, being Bruce Wayne would be rad. Bruce Wayne is this handsome rich dude and most people would think that's great. But you not only get to be Bruce Wayne, you also get to be Batman. So your kitchen better be better than anyone else's kitchen."

Indeed, judging from the movie stills, Batman's kitchen looks like it's decked out with all the equipment any chef would desire — in brick form, of course.

Will Arnett also talked more about the Batman's lair[5], as reported by Slashfilm.

"The Batcave is even better than we remembered it, it's awesome. But I also love getting into the ho-hum day-to-day of being Batman and what it's like to fight crime each day. Like the idea of Batman oversleeping his alarm clock makes me laugh. It really does humanize him."

Chris McKay, the director of The Lego Batman Movie, wanted to explore the world around Batman after the character became a huge hit with the release of The Lego Movie. In the film, viewers will get to see the other side of Batman, Bruce Wayne, and his relationships with other characters.

"We though if we can tell a well-rounded, funny story that's action-packed, we can build a big movie around this character. This is the movie we would want to see."

In The Lego Batman Movie, viewers will see how Batman interacts with his ever-loyal butler, Alfred, who is essentially the only character he has a relationship with and who knows his secret identity. Other notable characters will be making an appearance as well.

"Batman is an island onto himself, the only thing he doesn't have is relationships."

Actors and actresses who will be lending their voices to The Lego Batman Movie[6], as Entertainment Weekly reports, include Ralph Fiennes (Alfred), Michael Cera (Robin/Dick Grayson), Rosario Dawson (Batgirl/Barbara Gordon), Zach Galifianakis (The Joker), and Mariah Carey (Mayor Marios Grange).

In addition, McKay revealed that viewers will see cameos popping up from every corner in The Lego Batman Movie.

"We're nothing but exhaustive about the cameos and other characters that try to enter Batman's life."

Could McKay be talking about some of the superheroes that were present in The Lego Movie such as Wonder Woman (Cobie Smulders), Green Lantern (Jonah Hill), and Superman (Channing Tatum)?

Chris McKay is currently in Australia for the production on The Lego Batman Movie with a team of experts finishing the three-dimensional Lego world of Batman. According to him, they're building the city of Gotham and all the vehicles.

Will Arnett also spoke of the another movie, which is currently the talk of the town, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

"I'm going to just enjoy the show, but I'll be rooting for Ben. I mean, he's Batman."

The Lego Batman movie is scheduled to hit theaters on February 10, 2017.
