The Englishman's move to LCR marked his third MotoGP manufacturer in as many seasons, but he took just three races to become the only satellite so far this year to stand on the podium.
Three successive non-scores have hurt his championship position (eighth), but Crutchlow's pace has more than justified a new deal, although doubts have been raised regarding the financial health of LCR in the wake of legal trouble for title sponsor CWM.
"It's that time of year. Speculation is always high. But my plan was always to be riding with Honda," Crutchlow said at Brno on Thursday. "When I came to Lucio's team it was more than just coming for a year. So we'll keep talking about that and maybe we can have some sort of announcement on my future soon."
Crutchlow took his first MotoGP podium at Brno in 2012, claiming pole position the following year. His time of 1m 55.527s still stands as the offi cial circuit best lap.
"Brno's normally treated me very well. I've had some great races here, including the first podium. Hopefully we can do better than last year when I only managed a lap! Brno should definitely suit my style, with the faster corners compared to Indy, and it should suit the Honda as well, as we've seen from the previous race winners.
"There's no reason why we can't get back to some good results in the second half of the year. We've done around 7,500 km on the Honda now so it's time to get a little bit faster again and reduce the gap to the front guys."
