On Monday evening, Alex Morgan tweeted at the National Womens Soccer League main account– with a period before the handle just so that nobody could get things confused– to complain about her and her team's accommodations.

In Kansas City, Morgan and the Portland Thorns stayed at a hotel that was plagued by bedbugs and riddled with mold.

.@NWSL there's no other way to address continuing problems. Hotels have been unacceptable. For ex. :Bed bugs/mold @ Adams Mark Hotel in KC.

The language of Alex Morgan's tweet suggests that this is an ongoing problem that Morgan and others have brought to the league behind closed doors before, yet it remains unresolved.

As far as the regulations for hotel accommodations go, the 2014 NWSL Operations manual states that the team must be provided with an adequate number of rooms in a 3-star hotel for away games.

And Adam's Mark is a 3-star hotel. A pretty poorly-reviewed 3-star hotel.
