His surname fits right into the motorsport scene, so it was no surprise to see Brad Pitt right at home in pit lane during the British MotoGP.
The Hollywood star stole the limelight on a wet day at Silverstone after arriving at the track to watch Italian Valentino Rossi claim victory in the race.
Pitt posed for photos with several stars, including Rossi, and spoke of his love for MotoGP.
The 51-year-old co-produced and narrated a new documentary on the sport, titled Hitting the Apex, which follows the stories of six racers from their beginnings to the on-track battles they're currently fighting in the sport.
The riders are current two-time world champion Marc Marquez, his teammate Dani Pedrosa, two-time world champion Jorge Lorenzo, seven-time world champion Valentino Rossi, retired two-time world champion Casey Stoner, and Marco Simonelli, who died in a race accident at the Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang in 2011.
Speaking at the track, Pitt said he had long been a MotoGP fan and was delighted to lend his film expertise to documentary maker Mark Neale.
He said the film had plenty of appeal for hardcore and new fans.
"It's exhilarating, it's really moving, it's got a universal mythological tale to it," Pitt told motogp.com.
Asked about the MotoGP championship battle between Rossi and reigning world champ Marc Marquez, Pitt said: "I will say this, whoever wins it will have earned it.
"It's just a great year in the sport."
