Actress Sharon Stone told The Late Late Show's host James Corden that she's signed on for a part in an upcoming Marvel movie. Revealed during Thursday's Late Late Show (via[1] WBT), the topic came up when Corden asked if she'd considered playing in a superhero movie given their current popularity.
"I am going to do a Marvel movie," answered Stone.
"Is this some kind of exclusive?" Corden asked.
"I'm just doing a wee part in a Marvel movie, upcoming, and I can't tell, because you know, you have to sign confidentiality agreements. But I'm going to do a wee part in a Marvel movie now. That's it."
It's unclear which movie the one-time Catwoman star could be referring to her, with it possibly encompassing even a 20th Century Fox X-Men movie given its Marvel pedigree. But even then, it's surprising that Stone would be able to announce her role informally given those "confidentiality agreements" she in fact mentioned.
This wouldn't be the first time an actor has revealed their involvement in a major movie so informally however, but also not the first time an actor would announce involvement in a Marvel movie: actor Brian Blessed announced that he was to play Odin in the original Thor movie, only to have Anthony Hopkins announced for the role later on.
