Many people that have seen Batman vs Superman will know that the movie was trying to set up too many things all at once. Jeremy Irons (Alfred) has now admitted that the Justice League script won't be so complicated.
Irons mentioned this during a new interview with The Daily Mail. He said[1]: "It was very muddled. I think the next one will be simpler. The script is certainly a lot smaller, it's more linear"
Earlier in the interview, Irons was not shy on his opinion on Batman vs Superman. He is pretty much the only cast member to admit that the movie did have its flaws.
He mentioned the movie deserved its negative reviews: "Deservedly so. I mean it took £800 million, so the kicking didn't matter but it was sort of overstuffed…"
Irons even laughed when the Daily Mail mentioned one quote from a critic that called it "the most incoherent blockbuster in years". It's safe to say Irons is an old-school actor that doesn't mind speaking his mind.
His comments about the Justice League movie script hints that Warner Bros. is playing it safe and keeping it simple. As aforementioned, Batman vs Superman tried to cram in too many storylines into one movie.
