Paramount has found the actress who will step into the role Pamela Anderson made famous on the cult TV series "Baywatch[1]."

Model Kelly Rohrbach[2] will play C. J. Parker in the movie reboot of the classic 90s show. Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron star in the film, which will be directed by Seth Gordon. "San Andrea" actress Alexandra Daddario was recently tapped to play Summer (originally portrayed by Nicole Eggert).

Johnson posted a video on Instagram of him and Rohrbach running in slow motion.

For our #BAYWATCH and the iconic role of "CJ Parker" I had to make sure @kellyrohrbach was… tough.[3]

Johnson will also produce the film with his partner Dany Garcia through their Seven Bucks Productions banner. Montecito Pictures and Beau Flynn are producing as well, along with Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz and Greg Bonnan.

Damian Shannon and Mark Swift wrote the latest draft of the script. Although plot details are currently vague, sources close to the project reveal that the studio is taking a comedic route with the movie. Production is expected to commence in the new few months.

Besides David Hasselhoff's Mitch Buchannon, Anderson's C.J. is arguably one of the most recognizable characters from the series.

Known more for her modeling, this would mark Rohrbach's biggest role to date. She previously appeared in smaller indie films and recently landed a supporting role in Woody Allen's next pic.
