According to Wikipedia[3] "The 5th Wave" is the story of sixteen year old Cassie Sullivan who is trying to survive after an alien invasion. Called the Others, these aliens have devastated Earth in waves and have sent them back to the Stone Age. She is one of the last survivors and has learned the hard way not to trust anyone. The only thing that keeps her going is the hope that she can rescue her little brother from the "training camp" set up by the Others. While on the run she meets Evan Walker who may or may not be her only hope of rescuing her brother.
The First Wave is Lights Out- the Others released an EMP wave that takes out all electronics and kills half a million people. The Second Wave is Surf's Up – the Others drop rods onto the Earth's fault lines causing tsunamis that kill another three billion people. The Third Wave is Pestilence – the Others infect humans with a virus that kills 97 percent of the survivors of the first two waves. The Fourth Wave is Silencers – the Others take the children away and send the adults to the camp barracks where they are killed. During the Fifth Wave the children who were taken away are indoctrinated in military camps to kill the remaining human population.
