Balakrishna's Dictator movie is doing outstanding business at the overseas, In the first weekend, it collected 13.38 crores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. Trade Guru's said it has got both good and bad talk from the audience, But openings can't be affected. It is released on the Pongal day January 14, 2016, also got a good response from the audience. It is clashing with Young tiger NTR's Nannaku Prematho, Nagarjuna's Soggade Chinni Nayana and Sharwanand's Express Raja movies at the box office.

This is the 99th movie of Balayya and it has good openings in domestic regions crossed Soggade Chinni Nayana and Express Raja movies. Dictator movie covered 625 screens in 600 areas also it marked good advance booking also. This has become second highest opener for Balakrishna after Lion movie,also, it failed to cross the opening day record of his last movie Legend.
Currently, NTR's Nannaku Prematho movie is clashing with Dictator movie. In four days of successful run, Dictator made 18+ crores and at distributors it earned Rs 13.38 crore movie theatrical rights are sold for 22 crores. Almost 60% of the budget of the movie is re-gained from its distributor.
In the USA on 17th January, Dictator earned $ 92, 759. Dictator movie expected to collect at least Rs 2 crores at the box office on the sixth day of the release. Dictator declared as a blockbuster hit after earning 27 cr share at the worldwide box office. It failed to entertain the overseas public which collected 80 lakhs in two days of the span when compared to the other Pongal releases.
The only saving grace of the movie is Balayya himself who entertains you here and there with the powerful dialogues and performance.
