Ted Sarandos says "The Ridiculous 6" had best 30-day opening in streaming platform's history
Turns out Adam Sandler[1]'s universally panned movie "The Ridiculous 6" was a major success for Netflix.
The Western parody had the most-watched 30-day opening of any movie on the streaming service ever — including both original and licensed titles.
"'The Ridiculous 6,' by way of example, in the first 30 days on Netflix it's been the most-watched movie in the history of Netflix," the streaming platform's chief content officer Ted Sarandos said at CES on Wednesday. "It's also enjoyed a spot at No. 1 in every territory we operate in, and in many of them it's still No. 1."

But whether or not any of the viewers liked the movie is a different story altogether.
