MotoGP Misano: Last-ditch Moto3 front row for Kent - BSN

Runaway Moto3 series leader Danny Kent was forced to leave his final flying lap to the dying seconds of qualifying at Misano's MotoGP round this morning as he was mired in traffic and couldn't find any clear track space to put in a quick time.

Kent left pitlane with five minutes of the session left but was immediately surrounded by other riders all looking for a tow - which will have race director Mike Webb handing out penalty points like sweets - and only had one lap in order to try and bag a front-row start.

With less than a second left before the chequered flag appeared, Kent began his fast lap - still with some traffic around him - and put in a 1'42.782 but was some half a second off his best time from free practice three. Enea Bastiannini bagged pole with a 1'42.486 despite getting tanlged with Jorge Martin with Brad Binder second and Kent finishing the front row.

Nico Antonelli was pushed to the head of row two by Kent's time and he is joined by Sky VR46 rider Roman Fenati and Miguel Oliveira. Scotland's John McPhee ended in 26th place.
