It was only a matter of time before Kevin Hart was paired up with the Rock again, wasn't it?
"Central Intelligence" costars Dwayne Johnson[1] and Hart will host this year's MTV Movie Awards just in time to cross-promote their June comedy.
The 25th anniversary of the oft-talked about awards show will take a unique approach: It will be shot outdoors at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank on April 9 and air at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific times on Sunday, April 10.
It's the first time MTV will take the telecast entirely outdoors and onto the backlot to "capture the essence of moviemaking magic against a dramatic nighttime backdrop," the network said in a statement.

"It's an honor to be hosting the 'MTV Movie Awards' with a guy who's not only one of the funniest guys on the planet, but who's often mistaken as my twin, Kevin Hart," Johnson said. "We live for our fans and promise to make this an epic, historic, unforgettable night for them."
"I love hosting — it's my thing," Hart said. "Dwayne and I are the perfect team for the epic 25th anniversary show. It's going to go down."

"Trainwreck" star Amy Schumer, late-night host Conan O'Brien[4] and "How to Be Single" star Rebel Wilson have served as hosts over the past three years.
The former wrestler and comedian also are crowdsourcing their jobs, allowing fans to submit ideas for and direct the show's promos, MTV announced Friday. Talk about some serious fan-casting ...
"Me and @KevinHart4Real are hosting this year's @MTV Movie Awards. THEN we had the genius idea that for the FIRST TIME EVER we're letting YOU write the promos," Johnson wrote on his Instagram[5] account, sharing a parody trailer for the task. "Leave your best, funniest, most [expletive] up ideas in the comments below – every one of your comments will be read – then watch us chop it up LIVE STREAM style this Saturday at 2PM."
The live-streaming event will be broadcast on various social media platforms, including Facebook Live, YouTube, Periscope, Meerkat and YouNow and will allow fans to inter act using the hashtag #movieawards.
After that, MTV will select footage for promos from the platforms and credit fans who helped create the content.
The nominees, performers and presenters for the 25th MTV Movie Awards will be announced at a later date.
