Former MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner has clarified quotes reported in French and Italian media, saying his comments were taken completely out of context.
Various sites quoted Stoner as saying that compared to the days of Schwantz and Rainey, MotoGP is shit but the Australian took to Twitter to clear up the situation.
"It is widely known that I am not a fan of the direction of MotoGP but to say it is 'S#%' is certainly not my comment on the championship. The media comment was mis-quoted, taken out of context. Disappointed to see this."
