Forward Yamaha's entire future and, more currently, its participation in the Indianapolis MotoGP round hangs in the balance as team owner Giovanni Cuzari is currently in custody on fraud charges, among other things.
Cuzari was arrested in Switzerland, where the team is based, as the Italian authorities wanted a word about some bribery, tax fraud, tax evasion and money laundering allegations centred around his former company Media Action.
All the bikes, trucks and infrastructure are already in America but whether there is enough money to pay bills to people like Ohlins, Brembo and maybe even Yamaha is subject to speculation…
Nicky Hayden was bouncing around the Laguna Seca World Superbike paddock have a whale of a time, which re-ignited the rumours he would switch to the championship at the end of this season, possibly with Aprilia in either the works team or a heftily-backed satellite affair.
Michael Laverty still hasn't heard whether he will get the call up to ride again for Aprilia at Indianapolis but it seems likely as his name is on the entry list for the British round at Silverstone, which seemed to find its way into a lot of inboxes the other day.
