Football or soccer has an appeal all around the globe and games trying to cater to football fans try to make them as realistic as possible. Right now, FIFA is the most popular football franchise from Electronic Sports, and recently there has been some developments regarding the release date of FIFA 16 for PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and PS4.
There are also some newly added features like Lionel Messi's 'no-touch dribbling' along with the addition of female athletes in this game and on the cover. Engadget further declared that FIFA 16 will be the first sports game featuring female athletes on the cover. However, this wasn't a big secret as it was earlier revealed that Lionel Messi would be revealed on the cover along with other players.
There was also a list of applicants with female contenders among them. In the United States Edition, it was revealed that Alex Morgan, the Olympic Gold Medalist will be featured running beside Messi and for the Canadian Edition, Christine Sinclair will be adorning the cover.
At the same time, the Australian Edition will feature Stephanie Catley on the cover. Keep in mind that women won't be appearing on the cover in every edition but this is quite a big step to promote gender equality in sports. This time, FIFA 16 will feature 12 Women's National Teams for the first time in the history of this franchise.
It will include game modes like Offline Tournament, Match Day along with Online Friendly matches. Teams will be chosen from Austrailia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the United States in order to represent their respective federations in all of these FIFA 16 game modes.
According to Vine Report, there will be a new 'No-touch dribbling' mode available Lionel Messi. With the help of this move, the player will be allowed to momentarily let the ball stand and change further in the direction of the stance. The player fakes a turn in his run but then it changes back into a particular direction and coming back to the ball.
Thankfully, this move is not restricted to Messi and can be employed by any player. However, the effectiveness of this maneuver will depend upon the skill of the player using it. FIFA 16 will be launched on 22nd September in The United States and on 26th in The United Kingdom.
In the meantime, Oscar was finally revealed to Chelsea fans regarding his look on the new cover for FIFA 16. EA Sports Brazil recently released a picture of the game's cover art. EA confirmed earlier that Oscar would be available alongside Messi on the Brazilian cover of FIFA 16. Oscar beat his compatriots like Neymar, Thiago Silva and Philippe Coutinho to become the star of this game.
Eminent Sports Magazines like Sports Illustrated and ESPN have been graced by the presence of Alex Morgan but her recent shoot is a foray into unknown territory for a female soccer player. She stands next to Lionel Messi on the US cover of FIFA 16.
In a press release, Alex Morgan declared that it was an incredible honor to be one of the first women to be featured on the EA Sports FIFA Cover. She declared, ""I know people all over the world play this game and I'm really excited that FIFA 16 is putting such an important spotlight on women's soccer. And now to share the cover with today's greatest player is surreal."
