It's the slowest sports week of the year, which is why anybody who's anyone in the sports world was in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
ESPN annually takes advantage of sports' deadest day by holding the ESPYs award ceremony the day after the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. The biggest stars in sports and entertainment gathered to celebrate achievements both on and off the field.
The ESPYs not only gives sports fans a chance to reflect on the last 12 months in sports, but it also gives them a chance to see athletes in a different light — on the red carpet. Dressed to the nines, sports superstars traded in their pads and uniforms for suits and dresses for the big event.
And we've gotta say, some of them clean up pretty nice.
