Iannone has impressed during the first part of the season and is currently in third place in the championship standings after the first eight rounds, 46 points behind Movistar Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo in second place and 18 clear of Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez.
The Italian rider has hailed the impact of the GP15 this year for boosting his confidence, giving him the firepower he needs to challenge for the top five at every race.
"For sure it was a really good part of the season for me and I am so happy," said Iannone.
"It is possible because the GP15 improve a lot."I improve a lot more in the confidence because last year was more difficult for me to fight for the first five positions in every race.
"So, I am happy but this is the last race of the first part [of the season] and I hope to finish with a goo d result before the holidays."
Iannone is eager to discover how the GP15 performs this weekend at the Sachsenring in Germany, which he describes as a 'really strange track'.
"The Sachsenring is a really strange track, it is really short and really narrow. It's the first time with the GP15 and I am a little bit excited because it is a surprise for me," said Iannone.
"I hope the bike is competitive in this track for fight with the best riders."
